Your First Visit to Expert Endodontics

Welcome to Expert Endodontics! We are excited to meet you and help you achieve optimal oral health. If your family dentist has referred you for endodontic or periodontal treatment, we will ensure that your visit is as smooth and comfortable as possible. Here’s what you can expect during your first visit:

Before You Arrive
To help streamline the process, please continue taking any prescribed medications as directed by your doctor. You can either print out the Patient Registration Form ahead of time and bring it with you to your appointment, or you can complete the online Patient Registration Form prior to your visit. If you prefer, our friendly staff will be happy to assist you in completing the registration form when you arrive.

Endodontic Patients

If you are visiting us for endodontic care (such as root canal treatment), your consultation will include:

  • A thorough review of your medical and dental health history.
  • A detailed oral examination, including diagnostic tests such as X-rays or other imaging, to assess the condition of your teeth and surrounding tissues.

For most endodontic treatments, we can complete the procedure on the same day as your consultation. However, if your case is more complex, we may need to schedule a second appointment to complete the treatment.

Periodontal Patients

For those seeking periodontal treatment (such as gum disease care), please inform our office about any medical conditions or concerns prior to your surgery. This includes conditions such as:

  • Artificial heart valves or joints
  • Heart murmurs requiring pre-medication
  • Severe diabetes or hypertension

During your visit, we will conduct a comprehensive health history and dental examination. This will include:

  • Measuring for bone loss
  • Checking for loose teeth or bite issues

What to Bring to Your First Visit

To ensure the most efficient and effective consultation, please bring the following with you:

  • Referral slip from your family dentist, along with any applicable digital images
  • A list of medications you are currently taking
  • If you are pregnant, a letter from your obstetrician
  • Your dental insurance card, if applicable
  • Your completed registration form (if you prefer to fill it out at home)

Please Note: All patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the consultation.

At Expert Endodontics, we are committed to providing you with the highest level of care. If you have any questions before your appointment, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We look forward to welcoming you to our office and helping you on your journey to optimal oral health!
