Follow post-treatment care, maintain oral hygiene, avoid hard foods, and attend follow-ups for optimal healing.
At Expert Endodontics, your comfort and care are our top priorities. Here’s what you need to know before your procedure:
This procedure will be performed under local anesthesia. In most cases, there are no restrictions on driving or returning to work after the treatment. If you experience any issues or have concerns after your procedure, our team is available for consultation at any time.
Continue taking all prescribed medications for conditions such as blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid disorders, or any other health concerns as directed by your physician. If you have any questions about your medications, please contact our office before your appointment.
Please eat a full meal (breakfast or lunch, as applicable) prior to your visit.
If your physician or dentist has advised you to use antibiotic premedication due to conditions such as mitral valve prolapse (MVP), heart murmur, hip, knee, or cardiac prosthesis, or rheumatic heart disease, please ensure you take the appropriate antibiotics on the day of your appointment. If you are unsure, please contact our office for guidance.
To help reduce inflammation, you may take ibuprofen (Advil) or naproxen sodium (Aleve) before your procedure if you are able. We recommend taking two tablets of either medication 2–4 hours prior to your treatment.
If you have any questions or need further clarification, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at Expert Endodontics. We’re here to assist you every step of the way.
