After Your Endodontic Treatment

At Expert Endodontics, we want to ensure your recovery is as smooth and comfortable as possible. Here’s what you need to know:

  • It’s normal for your tooth and the surrounding gum tissue to feel slightly tender for a few days following treatment. This tenderness results from the procedure and the pre-existing condition of your tooth and is no cause for concern.

  • Avoid chewing on the treated side until your endodontic therapy is complete and your tooth has been restored with a protective restoration provided by your restorative dentist.

  • You may continue your regular dental hygiene routine as usual.

  • Discomfort can typically be managed by taking ibuprofen (Advil), aspirin, or acetaminophen (Tylenol) as directed.
Note: Avoid alcohol consumption while taking these medications.

  • If you experience discomfort that cannot be managed with the recommended medications, or if you notice swelling, please contact our office immediately.

Our office telephone is answered day and night. If you need to call after hours, please have your pharmacy number ready.

If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at Expert Endodontics. We’re here to help!
